Unfettered Hron is a much-sought-for Slovak river and for part of watermen is the nicest one in Slovakia.
You can find its spring in the Low Tatras mountains under the Kralova hole mountain. Hron is navigable unbeliavable 272 km but only during „high water“. Last 90 km of the river are much-frequented exactly from Slovenska brana to the Hron´s mouth to the Danube.
Hron is ranked among the nicest Slovak river when even one-week journey down the river is possible! Some sections are suitable for beginners as well.
